Emma Hungaski
Emma Hungaski, M.A. CCC-SLP
Emma is a valued member of the DP team, bringing her vast clinical knowledge and warm, child-friendly personality to engage and motivate her clients in the learning process. She earned her Masters of Arts in Speech Language Pathology from University of Maryland, College Park. While pursuing her master’s degree, Emma was awarded a prestigious assistantship with the University of Maryland Autism Research Consortium, where she participated in advanced training on treatment of neurodevelopmental disabilities and gold standard diagnostic tools for assessment. She has vast experience working therapeutically with young adults in college with ASD as well as with our younger learners on the autism spectrum. In addition, Emma has experience treating students with language based learning disabilities, articulation disorders, executive functioning challenges, receptive and expressive language delays, motor speech disorders, language processing disorders, social communication challenges.
Prior to joining the DP team, Emma provided individual and group treatment in a variety of settings, including an elementary school in Washington, DC where she provided classroom based therapy to students with hearing impairments and language disorders. Additionally, Emma worked at a therapeutic overnight camp, running social skills groups, where she was able to help facilitate carry over for her students within their day to day life. Emma brings her creativity, positive energy and enthusiasm to each and every session, helping motivate her clients to achieve their goals.
