Ariana earned her Bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Penn State University and her Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from New York Medical College. With a diverse background in clinical and academic experiences, Ariana showcases critical thinking skills, innovative therapeutic approaches, adaptability, and an unwavering commitment to growth and continuous learning. Before pursuing a career as a speech-language pathologist, Ariana worked in various educational and leadership roles. With 17 years of dedication at her family's summer day camp, Discover Camp, in Hawthorne, NY, Ariana evolved from camper to counselor, and eventually to Head Instructor, where she honed her skills in developing and delivering STEAM-based curriculum for young minds. She grew up in an environment immersed in hands-on activities, thinking outside the box, and problem-solving. She believes that an interactive and hands-on approach to learning is the bestway to get kids thinking creatively, fueling their curiosity, and fostering critical thinking skills. Additionally, as a preschool teacher and early intervention special instructor, she provided personalized instruction, designed learning environments, developed curriculum, and facilitated academic and developmental growth in students. Her dedication to creating supportive learning environments and her effective communication with families underscore her commitment to fostering holistic development in children of all ages. 
 
While obtaining her bachelor’s degree, she participated in research on speech development and disorders at Penn State University and in the BITS Lab at NYU Steinhardt. During her time at New York Medical College obtaining her Masters, Ariana provided speech and language therapy in a variety of settings, including private practice and public schools, working with children of all ages. She also completed an externship at Maria Fareri Children's Hospital, where she acquired extensive experience in the neonatal and pediatric intensive care units, honing skills in pediatric feeding and swallowing as well as cognitive-linguistic disorders. Ariana has experience providing therapy for clients with dysphagia, mixed expressive and receptive language delay, speech sound disorders, Autism Spectrum Disorder, social pragmatic language disorders, apraxia, dysarthria,and cognitive-linguistic disorders. She also has received training on various AAC devices, developed adapted books for pre-literacy skills, and created personalized low-tech AAC for children of various ages and needs. Ariana’s compassion, empathy,creativity, approachability, and drive shine through in all that she does, fostering a nurturing and empowering therapeutic environment where clients feel supported, understood, and inspired to reach their fullest potential.
