After earning her masters in speech and language from Mercy College, Erica has worked as a full-time speech-language pathologist in Westchester elementary and high school settings since 2011, where she provides group and individual therapy to students with speech and language impairments, learning disabilities, pragmatic language deficits and difficulties with executive functioning. In addition to being a certified speech-language pathologist, Erica also holds a teaching certification in special education. From her experience in the schools and her teaching background, Erica’s exceptionally skilled at helping students with language and learning disabilities become more successful learners both in the classroom and functionally in everyday life. Areas of clinical interest include language and learning disorders/deficits, fluency, articulation, autism spectrum disorders and pragmatic language disorders. Erica’s enthusiastic and warm personality helps her create instant rapport with her clients. Therapeutically, she enjoys using her clients’ interests to motivate them so they are engaged while systematically gaining skills and strategies. She is a second generation speech-language pathologist, having been immersed in the field by her mother, a fellow SLP.
